As you may have seen on Twitter or Facebook, the John Owen Society is pleased to announce our second lecture coming up within less than a fortnight. Details are as follows:
Lecture Title: ‘”The Glorious, Indivisible, Trinitarian Work of God in Christ”: Atonement in Paul’s Salvation Theology’
Speaker: Dr. Jonathan Gibson, Associate Minister at Cambridge Presbyterian Church and author of From Heaven He Came and Sought Her: Definite Atonement in Historical, Biblical, Theological and Pastoral Perspective.
Date: Wednesday 4th May
Location: Keble College, University of Oxford.
Cost: Free. That said, we will be inviting attendees to become members of the John Owen Society for £10 on the evening. This is entirely optional but we would be greatly encouraged by your support as we endeavour to bring high quality Reformed lectures to Oxford.
– With the kind support of Latimer Trust and Crossway Books, we have a number of books to give away on the evening.
– On the evening we will be announcing an excellent two-day conference on the doctrine of Scripture. Stay tuned for more information.
RSVP: please do register for the evening at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please join with us in praying that this event would be just as encouraging – even moreso! – than the last. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing drinks and nibblies with you afterwards.
